Set among the idyllic shores of the Southern Gold Coast, the Swell Sculpture Festival will once again fire up the beautiful seaside and bring more colours and creativity with an array of amazing displays of sculptures.
Taking place on 12 to 21 September along the stunning Currumbin Beach, the 12th Swell Sculpture Festival will feature impressive and remarkable works by local and national artists as well as works by other sculptors from other parts of the world. At least 70 sculptures will be dotted throughout the shore for this year’s festival.
For more than 10 days, visitors and spectators can enjoy strolling along the beautiful sand and bask in the sunshine while exploring many marvellous artworks on display during the festival. The festival will also feature exciting and interesting events that everyone should look forward to. They can enjoy insightful and enlightening artist talks, and they can also discover and learn new perspectives at the Public Art Forum. They’re also free to wander through the Swell Smalls Gallery and take part in artist master classes and children’s' workshops.
Artworks will also be lit up in the evening, bringing you another wondrous displays so you can enjoy a twilight walks.
This year marks another special occasion as the selection represents the widest range of artwork in terms of scale, mixed media and message making.
The free exhibition is open all day with a variety of sculptures illuminating a new verve as they are lit up under the bright southern sky.
