There's a new concept on the Gold Coast market scene - Chinatown Street Markets. The asian inspired markets launched earlier this month (on the 2nd of May) and will be held regularly on the first Saturday of each month, from 4pm to 10pm.
According to Dan McNeight of Dan's Dim Sim Kitchen the experience will be all about dining diversity, with food vendors plating up dishes from China, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and the Philippines. The Chinatown Street Markets will showcase the best of multicultural cuisine from across Asia; as the streets of Southport are transformed into a vibrant street food and entertainment scene.
The Chinatown Street Markets Southport will change seasonally through live entertainment, regular showcases, live cooking demonstrations and cultural celebrations rotating monthly. Local traders will also extend their hours durng market times.
