Trip Advisor Senior Reviewer “marsha99_12” describes Mecca Bah as offering “Good service.”
“Dined at this restaurant with 8 friends recently, service was good (Irish waitress needs to slow down while speaking so all can understand her) food was nice but my chicken tagine was just warm & heaps of bones in it. Can recommend the chicken pizza it was lovely.”
Top Trip Advisor Contributor “islandtraveller72” only has one word to describe his Mecca Bah experience: “WOW.”
“What a great place. Lovely ambience, great food and fantastic service. I went with a few friends for dinner and all of the staff (yes all of them) were lovely and so obliging. We shared a few entrees, a pizza and a desert. The food was delicious. I will be returning to this restaurant for sure. It is great to see such a well-run restaurant. I honestly can't say enough about it.”
However, Trip Advisor user “goldie1545” had a “..terrible experience..” at Mecca Bah.
“Such a terrible experience! Uneven chairs round the outside of the restaurant so you're looking up or down at your partner, rude and offensive manager, expensive, overpriced small portions. Vegetable Tagine was boiled carrots and a steamed piece of eggplant on flavourless couscous. Lamb kofte was served raw & when we complained they dumped the dish back on the table and walked off. Try the Cuban next door, will never ever go back here, was just atrocious!”
Another Trip Advisor user, Senior Contributor “Mustang74” finds the food at Mecca Bah “Bland (and) expensive..”
“Not often do you find somewhere on the GC with great service. Being a tourist location the restaurants don't need to worry about whether people will return…This place had great service. But the food was one of the worst meals we have eaten in a while. If you have to go here then order a pizza. They were at least edible. The chicken kebab is a stick of greasy, fatty chicken served on a massive mound of rice with no flavour. As is the lamb kebab. With such a limited menu you would expect the dishes to be great. A big disappointment and we won't be back.”
