Jump in the car or ride the Gold Coast light rail to Main Beach!
The beach itself is popular with surfers due to it's open shore break, and is also home to the old bathing pavilion, Pavilion 34, which has been transformed into a cool and casual beach cafe with fish and chips, chikko rolls and other beachside favourites.
The Southport Surf Club is also located here, and is a good place for beachfront dining or a relaxed drink.
Or lay out a picnic blanket and make use of the open green spaces!
There are plenty of attractions and other things to see and do in the area. Here are some of the other highlights and attractions of Main Beach Gold Coast:
*Tedder Avenue - cafes, bars and restaurants
*Gold Coast Fishermens Co-Op
*Southport Yacht Club
*McIntosh Island Park
Please note that from the Main Beach Gold Coast light rail station it is a long walk to some of these attractions, a taxi or public transport may be required.
